A strong partnership has long been a key component to business success. Whether it is some combination of executives, employees, vendors or Solution Providers, having someone to rely on can be the difference between triumph and failure.
A guest column written for MSPmentor by Shannon Kohn – an executive for Datto digital backup – focuses on why the IT Channel "rocks" and points out some of the qualities that cause it to stand out.
She points to collaboration and that the IT channel has plenty of it. When companies, VARS and MSPs are able to combine powers, it can create superior products and services. Some organizations like CompTIA are also fostering meaningful conversation across the country.
Kohn also underlined the fact that the IT channel can provide flexibility. There is no such thing as a five-year plan in the IT department as the landscape changes so frequently. Companies that have reliable resources have learned how to adapt to the fast-paced marketplace and make quicker decisions.
"The world of IT requires companies to be nimble, flexible and resourceful," wrote Kohn. "Increased regulation in the healthcare and finance industries has changed the landscape as well. Solution providers have had to learn quickly what the requirements are, so they can effectively and accurately provide guidance to their clients when trying to meet the new standards. It’s good to be flexible. The world is constantly changing and we need to be prepared to change with it."
For IT Principals, the IT channel can be the primary resource that companies need to keep themselves afloat in a competitive landscape. VARs and MSPs that hire impactful talent with the help of VAR Staffing are becoming the go-to resources for businesses.
