In the business landscape, very few innovations have had such a large and immediate impact as the cloud. This platform has touched nearly every operation inside a business in a short period of time and companies in all sectors are looking for a way to implement and manage the solution successfully. This has caused massive demand for skilled professionals from the IT channel.
A recent survey of 100 IT directors, found that skills in cloud technology are cited as the most valuable area. Thirty-nine percent of respondents place the cloud as the number one staffing priority. It was followed by security (37 percent), project management (33 percent), virtualization (29 percent) and network administration.
According to a recent article from Cloud Tech, which recapped the study, this means there is a growing desire to identify and recruit the most impact talent in these areas. Forty-one percent of respondents said they would hire specialist staff just to support cloud initiatives, even though they believe they have enough staff to handle a cloud project. Just looking at the number of companies that have or are planning to invest in the cloud and the training that goes along with it shows the breadth of opportunities there are for talented cloud professionals.
Finding these professionals with a specific skill set is not easy, which is why many businesses have partnered with VARs and MSPs that focus solely on cloud systems. Quality solution providers have partnered with VAR Staffing to recruit the impactful talent that these companies are looking for.
