As cloud computing revolutionizes data storage, internal workflow, customer-facing services and countless other aspects of organizations, the talent needs of enterprises must evolve concurrently.
Network World has put together a rundown of some of the top cloud computing certifications on the market today. These certifications, some of which are vendor-neutral and others that are administered by cloud vendors themselves, will provide enterprises with the confidence they need to entrust IT professionals with cloud management responsibilities.
"Certifications measure your knowledge and skills against industry- and vendor-specific benchmarks to prove to employers that you have the right mix of cloud skills, knowledge, and expertise," Network World summarized.
Some of the top certifications include:
- Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge (Cloud Security Alliance)
- CompTIA Cloud Essentials (CompTIA)
- VMware Certified Professional (VMware)
- Cloud Certified Professional (Cloudschool.com)
But not every enterprise has top in-house talent. IT professionals may not have the knowledge, resources or time to earn these certifications. Or, even worse, enterprises may "fail to see the need to invest in people's skills and competencies," according to a recent story from the Cloud Times.
The news source cites a report from NTT Communications that finds that enterprises funnel all their resources into upgrading cloud technology and processes, while ignoring "the people side of the equation."
That's why enterprises turn to proven VARs and MSPs for all of their cloud computing talent needs. VAR Staffing maintains partnerships with some of the top cloud computing communities in the industry, including CompTIA and VMware, so we understand fully how to match the staffing needs of Solution Providers with the most impactful talent available on the market today.
