The need for quality talent in the IT channel has been well covered on this blog. Every tech innovation that hits the market brings with it a new knowledge-base that needs to be learned and certifications that must be acquired to ensure the solutions are as successful as possible.
A recent article from CIO Magazine recapped the most recent update to Foote Partners "2013 IT Skills Demand and Pay Trends Report" that analyzed the compensation and demand of 641 certified and non-certified IT skills that are tracked by the company. Some 2,522 North American employers and 154,000 IT professionals were surveyed for the study.
"There are some surprising changes to the market over the last two quarters." the article reads. "The certified skills that seem to be flourishing the most fall into the architecture, engineer, security and database categories."
The certificates that are covered in the study were offered by a number of different companies and covered countless solutions. From various forms of wireless networking to security, and reporting systems to "master architects," IT professionals have a lot on their plates if they want to meet the current demands of the market.
It is clear that the IT landscape is becoming more complicated with every passing day. Trying to stay updated in-house is a common issue and more businesses are turning toward VARs and MSPs to answer today's challenges. VAR Staffing helps solution providers identify and recruit the impactful talent that is needed to make a true difference.
