As this blog pointed out earlier this month, many companies are going to be looking to hire impactful talent from the IT channel. A study covered previously found that 73 percent of technology hiring managers and recruiters will be looking to add quality professionals over the next six months, with 24 percent believing that hiring will be substantial.
A recent article from InformationWeek featured interviews with several IT industry staffing executives. There are some specific areas that will be a focus for IT hiring trends. These include big data, SAP database and social media integration. The other area of focus that should be considered is the need for quality leadership.
"The CIO of the coming years is at the forefront of many trends associated with other hot jobs: data, mobile, digital and analytics," Debra Germaine, a managing partner at executive recruiting firm CTPartners, told the news source. "The CIO's focus has migrated from the back office to the boardroom, making the role more visible, in greater demand, and hotter than ever."
She added that many companies are looking to add more executives under the IT umbrella with different titles. This points to the growing importance of IT within organizations and the increasing responsibilities of these departments.
Recruiting for talent in these areas can be more complicated than it seems. Because of this, many organizations are partnering with VARs and MSPs as a way to acquire this talent quickly and efficiently. VAR Staffing helps these solution providers identify and recruit the impactful IT pros who can make the difference.
