Some organizations have mantras that can be universal. These tend to be simple, yet poignant sayings that easily drive home a point. One of these comes from the Boy Scouts of America — "Be Prepared" — and a recent article from MSP Mentor states that this is something that all MSPs should know and start adopting.
This idea is more relevant right now, as winter storms hammer the Northeast and business continuity plans become a must. Over the last month and a half, harsh conditions have kept employees home for safety reasons and power outages have been widespread. These are all a massive problem for companies that have not prepared themselves for the elements.
MSPs and VARs can play a big role in this. Those that follow the Boy Scouts are not only prepared to help their customers combat the weather, but can also be proactive when it comes to implementing these systems.
"You know the basics: Work with your small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) customers to develop some type of business continuity plan," a follow-up article reads. "While many of your customers may already have one (since you've taken care of that, right?), it may behoove you to go back to older plans and update them by connecting with your customers (it also shows that you're on top of your game)."
To stay proactive with disaster recovery plans, MSPs and VARs need to have the right professionals in place that can follow this course of action. By partnering with VAR Staffing, solution providers gain the upper hand in identifying and recruiting impactful talent needed to answer this challenge.
