When it comes to the IT channel, the ever-evolving demand for skills has been a focal point for many businesses and technology professionals. Both sides want to make sure they understand the current trends and are putting themselves in the best place to take advantage of the latest innovations.
Recently, Foote Partners released its quarter one report on the IT skills and payment trends. The study examined 650 technology and related business skills in the current IT labor force, while also forecasting six months into the future.
"Non-certified IT skills have seen eight consecutive quarters of growth," the report reads. "Partners data, gains in database, systems, and information security skills are driving growth in both areas with assistance from network, communications and management, methodology, process and architecture, project management and process skills."
An article from CIO examined the report to find out which specific skill sets have the highest demand. While some of them are the hot trends in IT like big data, business intelligence, mobile applications and network security, there are several others solution specific ones like Oracle Application Development, SAP system management and Apache Cassandra.
