According to Innotas CEO Kevin Kern, project managers find themselves in the middle of the storm trying to keep every aspect of the project on track.
The main finding in a new study is that the salaries, training and spending on IT is all on the rise.
A survey cited in the piece by Mondo found that 48 percent of respondents plan to hire more contractors than full-time staff over the next 12 to 18 months.
According to the numbers, 41 percent of respondents said there is a plan in place to increase the IT security budgets to answer a number of challenges.
The numbers suggest that starting salaries in 2014 for properly skilled IT workers will increase by 10 to 18 percent.
